Wipe
For some reason Charlie Brooker’s Screen Wipe was irritating me at the back end of last year, and yet here we are in a new year and it is making me chuckle like a churlish schoolchild.
Going full-time in telemarketing hell has to go down as one of the stupidest ideas that has ever come across my thatched dome.

I love Charlie Brooker’s work… I’ve been influenced by his style since I first read TV Go Home around five years ago. He does it better than me of course, but I can’t help but think that he must love his job.
Watch telly, tear it to shreds, get paid.
Lucky bastard.
Screen Wipe was alright… Not as good as Screen Burn used to be (it’s not quite as acerbic these days), but I do remember a great quote from the last series of Screen Wipe. On Gordon Ramsey:
LAWL!
As for going full-time: You know it’s worth it when you remind yourself why you’re doing it. You can always keep looking for something else in the meantime. I can’t think why you haven’t gotten back into writing yet. Perhaps a belated new years’ resolution is in order?
It is. Unfortunately, whenever I have any glimpse of a spark, it gets eaten by the internet.
