Bored now.
Well, that’s the blog all set up, but goddamn my inadequacies when it comes to computers, there’s not much more I can do to make it all look pretty until Jonic gets online, so I guess I’ll just blog in some aimless (and yet amiable) fashion.
So I guess you probably want to know a little bit about me? No?
Well, I’m 27, living in York. I’m basically your prototypical geeky fella. I’ve never really got my head around the whole growing up thing. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve tried it, for a year I was a newspaper editor on good money and long hours. But that job cost me any hint of a social life, it cost the relationship I was in at the time, and had it continued, I’m pretty sure it would have eventually cost me my life. I put on weight drastically and had serious stress. After that I went back to the world of crap retail and crap admin stuff, before deciding to launch my own magazine. That didn’t work out to0 well, so I’ve shelved the idea for a bit, and now I thin I’ll releaunch it sometime next year, when I have a bit more money to do it. Now I sell insurance over the phone.
What else? Well, my tastes are such that when girls come to my house they get a little bit put off by the music posters, toys, cd’s and dvd’s. It looks like a rich 13 year old lives here. I love metal music but I do understand that other music exists, and also love soul, blues, even the odd pop song (does anyone else think that new Christina Aguilera song isn’t half bad?) and whatever really takes my fancy.
I’m a bit of a Sci-Fi/Telly nerd too. Anything written by Joss Whedon or Aaron Sorkin in particular. Films, TV, all the standard stuff.
As for girls, well, I’m single. I split up with my last Girlfriend over a year ago, but we’ve remained such good friends that both of us found it hard to meet new people. She left a few days ago now, so hopefully that aspect of my life should become a little easier. Or it would do if York weren’t so full of little scenester girls who won’t go out with a guy who has the wrong haircut.
So I guess that’s essentially me. There’s more (obviously, it would be a little pathetic if that was everything) but I guess that’s what these things are for. Don’t worry, I’ll write about something else in the near future other than myself.
